I think cosplay is an amazing art in itself! I'm always so floored by the amount of time and detail goes into some costumes ahhhh! So gorgeous! (your Mami--the Madoka Magika girl--is that her name?! YOU COSPLAY HER SO WELL!)
So don't cut yourself down for not being a visual artist because there's much more art out there than that! :3

ACEN, whoooo! I really really hope to make it this year -- I was all set to go last year and then got accepted to a spring dissertation workshop and had to cancel all my plans.

It was worth it; I got a whole chapter written! Well, drafted at least.
Arda's got pretty good wig care tips and tutorials on their website, as well as lots of really cool styling tips, although I always find it harder than they make it look in their videos!

You might want to go to this yahoo group for that stuff- [link] there are a lot of good things happening there. Many scans of books, some screen caps from on-line sources, and quite a few folks making things from the Hobbitt~
