sorry for the late reply :[ well pretty much worse than ever..and not just financially..education is pretty much dead (in universities)..some numbers: last year 4900 students were state-aided (this number refers to those who wanted to study law for example) THIS year only 200 can be state-aided..well I think you can imagine :\ this is what high schoolers have to go through..must be hell for them..(I'm glad I'll be able to finish univ. this June)

Ah, I'm stuck between choosing what my parents hope I'd take and what I want to take... but my choice would have a more competitive/smaller job opportunities, so I'm really having a headache
how's a web designer job like? My brother says web designers have to deal with fussy clients and gets little pay, but he's an auditor, so how would he know- then again we're in different countries, although the education levels should be equal...

I worked as a web designer for about 6 months..however my only job was to make the design layout and not the html/css codes etc. thus my payment was obviously less than those who create full webpages. If you really want to work as a web designer you should learn how to create pages in flash, then you can make some money out of it
