Sadly no one really pays attention to background characters. I'm guilty of it myself. xD I haven't drawn for Zelda recently though. *A* Most of my attention has been focused on Mononoke.

xD I know the feeling. I just found out that my pitch gets off when I listen to others sing, so I have to record while listening to a no vocal mp3 with no back up vocals. @__@ But practice practice~ >A< We can do it! lol
