well if they are going to be part fox and part deer, it would make more sense to do more body shapes.
For example, A thick buck with more fox like features
A small vixen with more deer like features
you understand?
Maybe both genders should have horns but males are (of course) large and more elaborate and females could have up to 4 prongs?

yeah like i was planning on having different body types (depending on rarity)
small body type like a fox is common. tall like a deer and pony would be uncommon/rare depending on the mix of genes (like big chest and stuff)
the one I drew has traits more like a work horse/pony but also has some deer stuff. His nose, tail, and ears would be fox.
these guys are peaceful usually but are quick to defend their home. They have a king deer thing that watches over the other deer things to make sure they are safe when they are out walking around. He has a queen but she doesnt have any real responsibilities except for babies and helping keep order in the herd. Every deer thing is equal except for the royals.
