i'm just trying to help get your art to be popular i would say talk to other people on here and make friends with them
if you know people it will get you popularity that's what i did also make a lot of art for them they like being made over but i only make art for my FAVORITE people/ my best friends so if you are wondering why i upload for only a few people then you know i don't make art for myself at times i'm really like a kind loving person so i will always make art for my friends and never myself i think you should try that

When creating a good backstory you don't want to make it to over dramatic there can be a bit a drama like parents died, abuse , ran away because of abuse, it just depends, and they can't be the best at everything but they can brag about what they do.
For example
William Wallace was a peaceful man who never wanted war, he worked on a farm with his wife and wanted to start a family but tragedy stuck when he wife was killed by the English, he went to war and was the leader but he was captured and beheaded
It's kinda short but it's an example XD

Don't mix bright colors with dark colors like a real bright neon green with blue it just does not work
Go with soft colors and colors that go together but never red and black together but if you hit the red just right then it will work
To much bright colors will look horrible and very marry sue like
Also if your making an oc based on the 1980s then go for bright colors

Now making a personality for a character is hard
You kinda have to do it like this
Look at characters that you want there personality to be
For example lets make a cocky lover boy
We use a shawn Michaels personality
But lets say you want to mix personalities to get the character you want
Example of mixing
Shawn Michaels and randy savage
A bit of a crazy lover boy

Now this one is hard you have to know your program like the back of ya hand
Now I would start with references of movie stars, anime characters or anything like that for the appearance

Now this is a drawing of one of my ocs shes a bit over the top but you always wanna go over the top like this but not to much
As for stallions
We have him now his style is more complex
I think looking at them two ocs will give you what im talking about
Its best for me to work in ms paint as I know how to work this program
