No, I'm not doing Inktober this year.  And I just realised it's been over a year since I posted anything on DeviantArt. I've kinda shied away from social media during that time, even though I'm still drawing and doing stuff.  
But these days  I'm busy with college stuff and working on a short comic strip (about 4 pages long) for a fanzine. I don't know when that will be published, but I'm expecting to be finished working on it early next month. 
My weekends are getting taken up with baby-sitting and travelling too, so I wasn't sure how much effort I could dedicate to it. Last year I wasn't able to dedicate the full month, so in the end I was 9 images behind and never finished the story (even though I had a road-map wrote out for where it was going).

That's so sad, but it's good to hear from you anyway! I understand the busy times very well, I currently have the same problem, time is so rare. But it's good that you're still drawing and painting. So don't get lost in all the todos and have a great time!

I know the feeling. I haven't been posting much work myself.  I'm becoming very concise about it too. 
I'm more comfortable posting my doodles or the rare finished image on Instagram or twitter. I'm posting my Inktober there everyday, but waiting until I have a few to post here on DevArt in one bulk upload.
I don't know what it is. It feels like uploading and then selecting a category from a huge list (only to settle for the closest description) is too much mental effort or something. I have a hard time just writing a description.

I forgot to mention, I like your work too! There is a lovely quality to them. I like the gentle palette or colours. That is something I have to look into for my own work. I don't even know the proper term for it, but I like how you used it.

Ah yes. That is something I need to keep reminding myself. I tend to get stuck in a “but it won’t like right when I’m finished” way of thinking (hence the sporadic uploads). 

There is a similar saying I kept mentioning during inktober (basically to remind myself, but also to possibly reduce people’s expectations). 
Finished not perfect.  
But I like that one in the photo you linked. "Done is better than perfect."

I think everybody has such problems in some way... Me too - I'm somehow perfectionist aswell, but you're doing a great job reminding yourself. And yes, because of that inktober frase I had to think of you <3 But aww the vid is awesome - I didn't know about that and where you get your inspiration from...just awesome, and such a great intention, I'll definitely keep that in mind^^

Hi, sorry for the late reply.
The administrators on the forum asked for photos too. So yeah, I plan to post pictures eventually. But the problem is I haven't received the prizes yet. The administrators were also curious to know if I got them yet. It normally takes this long for big packages to arrive from the US, but I am starting to worry that the prizes may be lost in the abyss of the mail system. Aw well.
I doubt US or Canada winners would suffer the same fate though, so you shouldn't worry if you enter future contests.

I noticed that there is a new "design a monster" contest. Best of luck with that one
