Hi, I'm sorry to bother you, but I saw Tyshea's tutorial on Comics, and I was considering doing my comic with toning. But I'm completely new to the whole process of toning.
My comic is fairly new, and it's about wolves. I've been doing it in color, but coloring it is starting to get very time consuming for me. I was wondering if you can give me some pointers on how to tone for wolf characters.
I don't have photoshop, other than a tutorial, but I am looking into getting it. So right now all I have is Gimp2 to draw my comic on.

Gimp is actually a pretty good one for being free. You could try doing basic cell shading and then use the smudge tool on 100% hardness to drag out a detail line (fur). I can't remember if Gimp has pressure sense for tablet attachment or not. I haven't been doing as much art recently so I'm not much of help, sorry
