Bellow is my old bio because its funny to see the differences between early 2009 me and late 2014 me. While I still draw from time to time, I work more in a digital medium now and have gone on to making videos (Editing, not animation... yet...) I like to use what resources I can to give credit where credit is due instead of making another vector of the same cartoon horse in the same pose that 30 other people have done by now. As a side note, I'll be redrawing a few of my old stuff to prove to myself I've gotten better, or haven't improved. We'll see."I'm a bit of a Perfectionist artist. when i create, if its not how i like it it goes to the waste basket. i recently got back into art and post stuff like this every month or so. most work is done on sketch paper from my math teacher and is drawn in school. this is my favorite creation for the Portal series. He is an Anti-Turret mini-bot that can act as a back up security measure and is made from Recycled Companion Cubes. not bad if i do say so myself"

Also, when inking, don't use a sharpie, they have a tendency to leak through and make unattractive lines if you press on them too hard. Use a ballpoint pen or even go to an art shop and find a nice pen that won't leak.

Also, if you want to draw a straight line, it's a very good idea to have a ruler to help you. If you don't have one, you could always use the edge of a book or a piece of construction paper. It makes your art look more professional.

You should work more with color and shading.
Maybe ink your sketches, also, so the outlines are a smooth black instead of a sketchy grey.
Here are some tips I think you should keep in mind while you start out with color and shading:
When working with color, it's a good idea to use a color theme, instead of using a lot of bright colors that may or may not go together. It's also a good idea to use a singular light source as well.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to take an art class where you can get more input/criticism from your teacher so that you can improve.
I think that one big problem in your work is anatomy and perspective; remember, using a reference isn't a bad thing, or plagiarism, so long as you're not tracing. Look up some poses to reference, so that you can get the poses of your characters to look more natural.
Keep practicing and I think you'll be a really good artist!
