I liked it, all in all. The character designs were excellent, the animation was good.  The story was a little predictable, but beyond that I found it enjoyable.

I dunno I thought they were cute.  I was distracted by Clawhauser, he was the cutest! But they were all pretty well designed and likeable.   Jeff started shipping them pretty much immediately though XD

another thing, when you said about the story being "predictable", while yeah the buddy cop story has been done to death before. But then there are people saying that the movie tackles themes like prejudice.

Oh yeah, I definitely think that prejudices were a huge theme of the movie, and I think it was fairly well handled.  When I said I felt it was predictable, what I meant was that there were plot points which were really obvious, and could be seen coming pretty far into the movie.  Basically, it didn't leave much in the way of surprises. You began to see things coming quickly.

I love 'em!  I haven't had a chance to play the latest final fantasy games (post like, x-2 x.x), but I went and checked out the deities you were talking about and you're right. They do look like cool robots!

The Major Deities are gods, the minors are called the Fal'Cie. There are some of the Eidolons. (*Summoned Monsters that are one of the staples & traditions of the entire Final Fantasy Series.*) that went in this "Robot" direction, too. (*"Odin", The Eidolon partner of "FF13 trilogy's" Lead character, "Lightning" for example.)

The Supreme God of these "Machine Deities" is the Most interesting & Fascinating one of them all. 

If You want I'll send You Youtube Links of the Trilogy which was edited & cut into "Movies" for You, As well as a Link to the Final Fantasy Wiki So You could get some Pictures of these "Robotic" Deities.
