Hehe, it's a little weird, but well basically it's about a species of giant mermen called Oceaurumpuer and the one species is made up of tons of subspecies, all different, and basically you get to see each segment based on one member of said subspecies, so far I've got two of the mermen, here's one, you see I haven't written up all of the info on the other yet:

Trpothoc

This particular subspecies of Oceaurumpuer are also able to shape shift as to disguise itself as a human so that they can live normal lives, but unlike many other species they are only able to do so for school days. However, they are indeed the most feral, vicious and most dangerous of the Oceaurumpuer, attacking almost everything in sight. Unlike many other of the subspecies, the Trpothoc has taken their form from ordinary sea creatures, this varies from creature to creature. They have been nicknamed by fishermen in legends as being ‘The Royal Protectors Of The Heart Of Ocean’, or ‘Trpothoc’ for short, hence their name, due to their defence of underwater wildlife and the sea itself. It is said that only one of the great beasts remains due to past exploitations and hunting. They love jewellery, gems and almost anything that shines or shimmers, and have developed a knack of collecting said things, hording them in their homes, often sleeping atop of them as to protect their belongings. Due to this, they are incredibly defensive over everything they believe to be theirs… Whether it be inanimate or otherwise…
They are the oldest of the Oceaurumpuer, which could possibly be why they only take their form after known living marine animals. However, they are also the noticeably largest, reaching staggering lengths of between 500 - 800 feet, some more than this, which is possibly the cause of their general feral behaviour as many go mad with the power that comes with their size. Also, because of the nature of their skeletal mash-up, they are able to control electricity, both in their stingers and otherwise, which is why many also nickname them ‘storm bringers’ blaming them for many storms at sea and natural disasters involving water or the ocean. Despite their size and feral behaviour it is known that due to the whole subspecies only being in the male gender, many take to female humans falling in love in the same way that human males do as the rest of the subspecies of Oceaurumpuer do, however they are even more abusive to their poor human lovers, many often kidnap of forcefully take their victims or rather lovers. Although it is unknown how or if they mate with said human female at all. They can also only love once in their entire lifespan, which is said to never end, so if said human does not comply then it will be a very lonely eternity for them, however it is also known that the female it chooses to become it’s lover will also become immortal whence she cares a ‘true’ kiss with the Trpothoc. The Trpothoc are also noticeable for their tendency to sink ships, from fishing boats to cruise liners, as they believe them to be a threat to their ocean. Their skin and scales are seemingly impenetrable, which is why many of them are not easily killed, however it is possible to kill them, though it is unknown how to do so. They are indeed carnivorous, only enjoying meat… Normally living meat, that is why their favourite food is ironically humans, however they will eat whales, sharks etc if their favourite food is unavailable. No matter how friendly one may seem, it will instantly become vicious and almost animal-like when hungry, which is what causes many to even turn on their own lovers, this brutal behaviour also seems to occur when they get even the slightest sniff of human blood, however it is easy to note this behaviour as their pupil suddenly becomes a snake-like slit. Just like many sharks, this subspecies is able to turn their stomachs inside out as to rid themselves of unwanted waste such as cruise liners, ships etc and toxins within their prey. They have a distinctive roar unlike many other of the Oceaurumpuer, which is used to ward off unwanted company or warn them, however when happy, like a cat, they have a tendency to purr. The structure of their teeth appears to be a mixture of the extinct Megalodon and the ever-infamous T-Rex, though they have another set of teeth behind their first pair as they are known for crunching the bones of their prey – they like to leave no trace of the fact that they have been in an area. They are known to have beguiling colours as to attract prey and a potential lover. Another way in which they attract their ‘potential lover’ is through their uncanny good-looks, seductive voices and a special ‘scent’ they give off that is irresistible to young female humans. They originate from the North American area in the North Atlantic, or the North Pacific Ocean, therefore they normally carry an American or Canadian accent. They normally make their homes in damp caves with waterfalls within them, or a large pool in said caves if a waterfall is not available, however they must be warm, as they love the warmth, and be upon a beach. Due to this, their skin is always warm, and they normally are heavily tanned. It takes hundreds of years for them to reach adolescence (The time when they become immortal), therefore they still go through a sort of childhood. They make great allies, but are dangerous enemies.

Kaisuke

Species – Trpothoc

Gender - Male

Age – Appears about 19, though is probably hundreds of years old due to the immortality of his species.

Birthday – 4th July

Relationship Status – Single

Background – Due to the hunting of his species during the 1600s, he hid away for a vast period of time due to his young age and inexperience at the time only being about 4 in his years, however he was attacked by a gang of pirates wishing to enslave him, he managed to defend himself, defeating the pirates as he was only around 70 foot as he was only around 3 in his species’ years, however he was morally wounded, harpoons were stuck in his dorsal fin. He thought he was doomed however, a young woman found him bleeding in the shallow waters, acting as his mother for a long period of time as she bandaged up his wounds, then ‘kissing them better’. She did not seem very afraid of him at all, which he adored about her. He loved her with all of his heart, until he lost control of himself as he went through puberty, as he enabled her to live everlasting youth using his unique abilities that come with his species, you see, during puberty his species becomes very feral and unstable, especially when hungry, and no matter how many times he told her to leave, she would not, so he eventually did the unthinkable…
Which left him in mourning ever since, however he didn’t see her as his lover, more of his… Mother. He then continued to live his life protecting the Pacific Ocean and it’s wildlife, as he originated from the beaches of California, and supposedly still does.

Personality – He seems outwardly cold and emotionless toward anyone he meets if he decides not to harm them, however he seems to have a sort ‘soft spot’ for human females due to his past, however he always seems to be reminded of the sadness that haunts his past as he does so which greatly upsets him. He keeps a cool, calm and collected persona under most circumstances, however he can quickly become quite hostile and cynical upon seeing a human due to his distrust in them due to the pirates that attacked him as a child. Due to the fact that he was attacked by a pirate ship when he was young, he rarely lets ships, be it sailing boats, fishing boats or even cruise liners, pass his vicinity without disposing of them due to his fear of them and sharp objects. He is prone to creating storms and rough waves when annoyed, hungry, or upset, and becomes rather sadistically playful when hungry, enjoying his prey squirm. Despite his cool, hard exterior, whence happy or in the company of someone he loves, he seems completely different – cheerful, energetic, somewhat loud and curious. He also loves hamburgers, barbeques and junk food, his favourite human food being anything from McDonalds. He is also extremely patriotic, as he loves nothing more than watching or attending Independence Day celebrations unfold on the golden beaches of California, seeing it as his Birthday treat, which could also be a factor in why he appears to love the summer so much. He is a mix an anglerfish, a hermit crab, a stingray, an octopus/squid, a tiger shark, a jellyfish and a glaucus atlanticus. In theory he could be described as somewhat of a ‘tsundere’ or bipolar, despite this he is secretly longing for love.

Arcen

This species, like many other of the Oceaurumpuer, are able to disguise themselves as humans, and like the Trpothoc are able to shapeshift to disguise themselves as humans though only for school days as to up their chances of finding a human female mate. Despite their speed and apparent ‘hatred for humans’ it is known that due to the whole subspecies only being in the male gender, many take to female humans falling in love in the same way that human males do as the rest of the subspecies of Oceaurumpuer do. The Arcen are renowned for their great speed and agility, which is unrivalled amongst the other subspecies, as they are able to reach speeds of up to five times the speed with great ease under water, on land, or when flying. However the top speed of the Arcen itself will depend on it’s on attributes, so a final number is unclear and uncertain to calculate. They are indeed carnivorous, their diet consisting of pretty much anything living and breathing, however like Oceaurumpuer, their favourite food is ironically humans… Namely females. Although, many prefer whales, dolphins and sharks if humans are not available, however they do enjoy certain underwater vegetation, namely many different types of coral, once again their choice in the coral will depend on what is available. The structure of their teeth is extremely similar to that of the Whale Shark, however they are much sharper, larger, and they have a large number more of teeth that run literally down toward their throats, they have a similar method in order to eat – filter feeding. Their mouths act as gargantuan vacuums when hunting leaving them able to breath in rapidly for long periods of time, often sucking in many unwanted things such as sailing boats/fishing boats etc, therefore they too possess the ability to turn their stomachs inside out as to rid themselves of unwanted objects that may contain toxins, though many have adapted to being lazy enough to just digest the objects regardless. Despite this filter-feeding technique their species possess, they enjoy old-fashioned hunting and will eat coral using their teeth, not their filter-feed method. They are able to retract all of their teeth behind their frontal layer of teeth, however their tongue is literally impenetrable in case of an accident. Arcen have forms normal a mixture of the Hippocamp of Greek Mythology - usually having the legs of a horse or the deep sea equivalent of a horse, this enables them, unlike many of the other Oceaurumpuer to travel on land, as their lungs have adapted them to inhale both H2O and oxygen – a Mandarinfish, a Sailfish, a lionfish and seemingly, and somewhat strangely, a Pegasus. All of their fins are able to fold down, to enable faster swimming, as it makes the Arcen further stream-lined, the sail upon their back, due to this, is always folded down when swimming however it is normally raised when they feel threatened, shocked or excited. They are normally rainbow-coloured as to attract prey toward them or to impress female humans. Just like the Trpothoc they purr when happy, however they are also known to roar or growl when angry as to frighten their attacker or victim. Supposedly many fishermen believe that the reason for rainbows in the sky after a storm is an Arcen flitting from one place to another. Arcen are able to control the weather and are also able to shoot ‘rainbow blasts’ from their mouths, hands, hooves and/or eyes. Another way in which they attract their ‘potential lover’ is through their uncanny good-looks, and normally seductive voices, apparently they also smell of whatever the by-passer’s favourite scent is. Just like the Thorpoc, it takes hundreds of years for them to reach adolescence (The time when they become immortal), therefore they still go through a sort of childhood. They originate from the North American area in the North Atlantic, or the North Pacific Ocean, therefore they normally carry an American or Canadian accent just like the Trpothoc. They are too are known to love the warmth, and must live by, if not upon a beach. Due to this, their skin is always warm, and they normally are heavily tanned like the Trpothoc. They are in fact able to fly using their wings, which are indeed made from seemingly waterproof feathers, however due to their fast speeds they are normally just seen as rainbows. They can apparently grow up to sizes around or inbetween 400-500 feet. Supposedly, if one is able to see an Arcen they will have good luck for the remainder of their lives, however it depends on the Arcen in question.

Background – He originally just roamed the coasts of British Columbia in Canada, and obviously has a Canadian accent due to the area he was living in. He lived out his life relatively normally up until his 17th birthday at which he stopped aging, he was found by the head researcher of a private facility on the coast of British Columbia, whom pretty much captured him much to his angst, however he pretty much turned him into a celebrity, telling everyone of his awe-inspiring speeds and abilities, however hid in the waters of the researcher’s private beach of which the facility sits upon, causing people to believe the researcher was lying about the whole ordeal. However the researcher later scolded him, threatening him if he did not comply, although due to his personality, Spectrum didn’t stand for it at all, threatening him back with threats that he in fact was able to keep, he eventually ‘disposed’ of the researcher so to speak, however he told the rest of the research department that the researcher disappeared on an expedition in the deep and “tried his best efforts to save him, but he simply unable to”.

Personality – Seemingly outward, loud and over-confident many dislike him because of this, however he uses this as to hide his secret loneliness and empty feeling. He appears to have a tendency to stick his nose into other people’s business, however is just curious and wishes to know more about a person or their problem in an attempt to make friends. He appears rather vain and conceited, and in theory could be described as a narcissist. He is generally quite a prankster, and is rather mischievous, due to his he is normally rather oblivious to when he has pushed a joke too far and is hurting someone’s feelings. However, when he realizes he has indeed hurt someone’s feelings his guilty conscience takes over and he instantly becomes extremely caring, kind and gentle. His voice appears rather soft and gentle despite his brash nature, though he is very impatient with pretty much anything however this is probably brought on by his fast speeds. He can appear rather boastful and proud of himself, however you could say he has the right to be with his speed. He is supposedly the fastest living Arcen in the world, and instantly becomes annoyed when someone claims something is faster than himself. He is known to create storms at sea when in an anguished or angry state, however he creates rainbows and sunshine when happy or excited. He can be extremely sarcastic, cynical and narky, though is extremely sharp and witty. You could say he is ‘silver-tongued’ as he is able to persuade and lead people to believe him very easily.
