I'm a 30 year old school teacher from West Yorkshire. At the weekend I work in a local tattoo studio where I am learning to tattoo. I love to draw pencil portraits and black and grey tattoo designs the most but I am currently working on improving my western traditional style also. I'd like to improve my painting technique to paint portraits in oil.Current Residence: Bradford, UK

Thanx for your kind comments. As for Axl, mine was a commission and I had no idea of his looks! Found him on Google search. At the risk of showing my lack of computer knowledge, it was only late last year when I realised it was possible to pull up "images" only. Now that is a great help!!! Any problems, I'll see if I can help (just don't hold your breath) Tom.

I use fine liners myself too. But I redraw everything on tracing paper after sketching stuff so when I scan it theres no pencil marks on the paper
Yup, thats pretty much the only way to do it proper... thats how I have found it to be anyway.
