Yes I know what ya mean , some Birds (Bluejays and Chickadees ) tend to not sit still long enough to compose a picture , I've gotten some pictures of them but few good ones. I try and use a high shutter speed with my telephoto lens (1/800 -1/1600 range ) to stop them and keep shooting them until they move away.It works more often than not and I'm happy with that,(for now) Keep trying :) (Smile)
