# About me
"Rederecy" - made of "redesigned" & "recycled", shortened "RE-RE".We are a group of families and friends which is not indifferent to recycling and art. Our aim is to answer our selves the question: is recycling a must, a hobby, or a commercial activity? We hope to find the answer by measuring the ratio between the amount of unusable objects (e.g. clothes, furniture, parts of broken electrotechnics, etc. and even HOME MADE PHOTOGRAPHS WHICH WERE NOT MEANT FOR PUBLISHING) to be redesigned and recycled (prepared to serve for similar or other purpose) and spare time of average working person who's job is not connected in any way with recycling. At the beginning we have only two conditions: The time of one person which can be spared for this kind of activity is 2 hours per day maximum and sometimes dropping to 2 hours per month minimum.
We agree that this kind of activity depends on ones‘ personality and way of living, living conditions and states‘ in which a person lives and works economical power. For those who have other hobbies we just say:
- Don‘t be indifferent for the nature, environment and pollution – recycle. You already have the minimum tools like different containers for different trash (glass, plastic, organic waste, etc.) provided by the state.
Rederecys‘ activities begin in one of the European Union states within the recycling policy of EU and ones‘ living conditions below the average of EU. Rederecy believes that these conditions (low development and low economical power of the state) are a strength but not a weakness for the Rederecy‘s experiment. At this point we believe our activities must continue not a year or two, but 10, 15 or 20 years that enough data could be collected and measured for the ratio between the amount (in pieces, kilos, prices things were acquired, their remaining value before recycling and starting price after recycling) of things and materials to be recycled and the human working ours to be calculated.
As Rederecy does not have any factory, recycling plant, warehouse or even a small workshop with workers, the objects that we still cannot use in our activities are put to the recycling using the tools the state has provided for public. As far as Rederecy and other public know that most of recycling companies get financial support from the state. Rederecy is not supported by the state and does not seek any. That is why our production is not free and right protected.
Rederecys‘ production prices are symbolical or auction prices, they are not charity or charity auction prices. We believe that Rederecys‘ production must have prices to see how much value is added to the redesigned and recycled objects.
As Rederecy is still in its‘ starting point, we begin with the smallest step – THE GALLERY OF THE SELECTED AND REDESIGNED PHOTOS, which were first made for personal use and were not meant to be published. The next step will be a gallery of various original paintings, drawings, etc. partly made on/of/with recycled materials while the goal is to make art objects 100% made of redesigned materials.
