hye there. i've noticed that you use blender. i have one question, after we had apply the texture, let say a metal texture onto a box. and the metal texture is bronze in colour, can we change the colour? i want to use the texture but i just want to change the colour. how can i change it? i could not find it on youtube, because everyone is just using the original colour of the texture

Hm... in the blender internal render engine you have to change the blending mode of the texture to "value". You find this option at the bottom of the texture pannel.
In the cycles render engine you have to place a "Mix RGB node" between the "Texture node" and the "Diffuse node". If you change the blending mode of the "Mix RGB node" to "color" and raise the value up to 1 you can influence the color of the texture by changing the color of the "Mix RGB node"
But I think the best way is to change the color of your textures in a program like GIMP or Photoshop.
In most cases its easier to do things like that with those programs.
I hope you understand this because its hard to discripe it only with words. If it dosn´t work I could do a little Youtube tutorial if you want.

ahhaaa, the node's. i just don't know how they works because it's just so confusing. haha
but i'll experiment with them later when i'll start a new project.
i'd just completed one more tank design, and the new one i'd use a texture. but i just use the image texture from the material option.
i want to make it look's like it is made out of metal's but i don't think that i achieve it. the sword that you did is amazing!
i actually tried the method that you suggest which is by using photoshop. but isn't the change of the colour will effect the texture? if it were like a paint like what i did in my new tank design, i think its okay. but if it's a metal texture, like in the sword design you did before i think it will be effected (i think ). can you teach me how to do it? i mean the colouring part, texturing, and to make the texture stand out.
i would really appreciate your help
