The Sky Burns My EyesAye the sky burns my eyes,
only leaving the bloody sockets
of their existence behind.
The light starts to burn my flesh
and so I cast myself into the shadows
to hide myself from the sky's burning gaze,
to safe what left of I.
I lay there in the fetal position
regaining my once great strength,
that now leaves my grasp.
The shadows the darkness
the ever-growing woes of the world
now seep into the void
that is left behind.
Filling it with it's unholy power,
filling it to its rim,
over flowing it does.
New eyes form in the lost ones place,
no longer eyes that were burnt by the light,
no,
eyes of darkness,
they now see only that,
even in the light of day.
The reflection of the soul,
that. It means a lot that you enjoyed my work.
