Did you see the last movie trailer that they released yesterday? Lots of Snape in there (I know you don't like AR's Snape, but I actually do)! But I'm not so sure how I'm gonna get through the killing The only thing that's helping is the questionable knowledge that he lives on in the fanfics

I did! And I squeed like a total fangirl. I actually DO like Alan's portrayal of Snape. A lot. I'm just not a big fan of Alan/Emma manips in terms of SSHG. and I do love personal interpretations of different artists ))

And yes, I so have to stock on tissues for the killing scene. Or stuff up some pads into the shoulder of whoever I'm going to see it with.

Oh, sorry, for some reason I thought you were among those who can't stand him as Snape in the movie. I'm personally a huge fan, and what he might be lacking in age/appearance, he certainly makes up with The Voice, for me ))
Anyhow, yeah, watching him die "for real" on screen will be tough... Tissues, here we come!

Oh, hell the VOice and the hands. And damn, Alan has charisma. So, I'm a huge fan as well, but it doesn't stand in the way of loving various people's interpretations of Snape, too. And Alan and Emma manips just don't do it for me.

Are you planning something big for the movie? like a fan get-together?

Yes, I agree with both. Alan Rickman is almost an institution. I daresay he has more women drooling over him than any other actor his age ) But pairing him with a teenager is not cool, even for an SS/HG affectionado like myself.
I wish I had so many fan friends to warrant a party! I'm one of the few and far between adult freaks who indulge in the YA lit. I can recommend a few good books, btw, if you're interested in this "genre".
Another thing is, last time (when DH1 came out), I hyped myself up beforehand SO MUCH, that the actual movie was a bit of a letdown... It was still great, but because of the slow pace and not too many exciting parts in it, it was just a bit short of my super-emotional expectations. So, I'm determined to take it easy this time and let the movie pleasantly surprise me )) What about you?

Yes, totally! Last movie was great, but I think I've waited for so long, that the wait transferred into a too great an expectation and I felt slightly let down. This time, I'm trying to stay a spoiler-virgin, though it is oh so hard in this world of constant spoiler-porn I know they changed Snape's death scene a lot, but well, that was to be expected, rules of the genre. Like you, I'm trying to go with the flow this time. And, well, I have found a new crack in Thor *coughLokicough*, which is very helpful in terms of fandom distraction
