Hey man, this looks excelent,
But I downloaded the file and can't view it,
I have 3DS Max 9.0, when I open any of the files in the .zip, I get a lone Skybox and no geometry, when I say wireframe, then only I see some stuff, when I render out, I get black.
Sorry man but I'm havn't fone any RT shader stuff or new htat Max could do it.
Would you mind helping me out?

Hey, just want to ask you about those nVidea shaders,
so say I downloaded the 'mesh as displacement map' one, supposed to use the first pass of the mesh and it's normals to make a displaced effect onto whatever is behind it.
Now how do I use these?
Please forgive, I am a total n00b at the TR stuff of 3DSMax.
If it's not to much to ask, could you give me a few links ofo r guides that you learned from? Or (an by a very slim chance) send me a long PM on how to use RT stuff in max?
I am realy sorry to be bothering you like this, and I hope others who would like to know how are getting something out of these messages and not solely me

Thanks for the help dude, I got your awesome shader working, all I had to do was reload the illumination map in the material editor and DONE!

I'm trying it right now, everything but my diffused maps are weak. It is an excellent tool, it seems to give a good gauge of how strong the maps really are. It will be a good tool for dominance war.

Have your diffuse map contained alpha channel?If so that is why your diffuse map seems weak.You can remove alpha from diffuse map or just convert it to jpg format.And do remember to apply both two cubemaps into cubemap slots otherwise it will get weird effect. On a side note,there is normal map bug existing in previously shader demos.I will fix it soon.Appreciate your feedback.

Hey man.
I just had to say great shader you've made for 3ds max.
Just downloaded it and it actually works! I say this because I've tried using standard max shader to view realtime normal and alpha/opacity but mesh just becomes transparent, and Ben clowards doesn't work for me either.
But yours is very workable so thanks for that.
