They were introduced in order to encourage community activity. Nothing more. People have been going mad for these llamas, but in the process friends have been made, new art discovered and faves given out. I myself have found so many wonderful deviants I wouldn't have otherwise done had I not been perusing the elusive albino llama (1,000 llamas.)
