Mercenary:
a. a professional soldier hired to serve in a foreign army.
b. hired to serve in a foreign army, guerrilla organization, etc.

Hmmm.. can the above be applied to Bahraini citizens, living in Bahrain, with Bahraini passports who are residents of Bahrain?

Can the citizens of Bahrain, when defending their own country & government, be called mercenaries according to the definition above?

How can a Bahraini citizen who loves the Monarchy be a paid agent or to serve in a ” foreign army” ??? I thought that being a Bahraini means, serving your country. Therefore, this definition does not apply here.
