then you'll love my gallery, i'll put some more drumming when i can, that's the thing i picture the most because all my friends play the drums. My friend Duluc is one of the best players of the caribbean, he showed the best percussionists of my country how to play, he even had a band in japan with japanese people playing afro percussion, that was hilarious, anyway keep in touch with my submissions then, i'll stey in touch with you for exchange.

Djembe is very common here, but they also play conga, gagá, salve, radá, petró and zimbie, those are more cultures and beliefs than simple rhythms, petró is the most violent one, it's mixed with voodoo and dark practices, but it's the rhythm i like the most. My boyfriend who played the percussion for ruben blades lived for 10 years with native americans, specifically the kunas from panamá and learned how to play native american drumming and their customs and rites, and he practices them. I'm the only one of my friends who doesn't know how to place a hand on the leather.

I love Native American drumming. The rhythms mimic animals. Like...the rhythm of the traveling of animals. Or at least thats the way I was taught. Very fun.
