Really dig your work in designing icons and graphics for businesses, as well as some of the clothing design on characters. Very few people on DA are specifically trained for making business quality work, and for that, I commend you. Very nice job!

Thanks ^^ that means alot. I think design is a little underrated on DA in particular (which has more of a reptuation for fanart, anime and general art...) I'm a design intern but I plan to have my own studio someday- hopefully one that helps out indie game producers too! ย

The term "Starving Artist" normally pertains to those whom only try to get into animation and intense illustration.
Design is much much more in demand, and you are smart for pursuing it.
I find a lot of people on DA do not quite understand or appreciate just how well done and important this sort of work is, and how much companies will pay.

To be honest I may have gone down a conceptual-artist route had anyone of told me you could get paid to sketch characters when I was 12, but I do love design and I prefer it over art because it has structure and purpose. I'm certainly grateful I can earn a decent wage in a variety of jobs with my skills, although we designers - perhaps unlike oil painters and animators - do have to battle daily with people who think they can do it themselves on Word or MS Paint

Indeed.ย I still frequent Skyrim, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
A new game I've dug the hell out of lately has been State of Decay.ย (Open world, zombie apocalypse simulator...or as I call it..a zombapocalypsulator.)
