I actually read the books back when I was in middle school, something like a decade ago, and then the movie came out and I was like omergerd :')
It's such a pity that they never made the sequels :/

I think I saw the film before I read the books, but the books were way more awesome. It just baffles me how humorous everything is, that must be really hard to write. I have to admit that I struggled in the third or fourth book. It got kind of long-winded there. But it was still awesome

I just adore Douglas' sense of humor... he takes things from everyday life and looks at them in a different manner, which makes them seem strange and therefore funny. He actually does a lot of political criticism..
