I hope these past months haven't been to intense for you and that you're making some serious progress on your quest to become a storyboard artist in some kick-ass video games. Things have been really crazy for me lately. I work two jobs to cover living expenses and I attend university full time.Β
I also have a boyfriend now, so I barely have time nowadays. But I'm still working on my art. I did my first sculptures this semester, and thus I have developed a new found love for sculpting. It was a wonderful experience. Art classes at the college level are really serious, at least here where I'm at. The professors are very serious and they are very harsh with their critiques. They are like that to prepare us for the real world. It's a bit stressful, but when I see how people react to my sculptures, it is all very worth it.Β
I just bought a new laptop today! (I haven't had one since the beginning of the semester) and now I'm so excited because I can start working on my digital art again. I really want to start commissions. Hopefully eventually I can cut back one job so I have more spare time and so that I can dedicate time to my art.
Overall, college has been an amazing experience.Β
I hope you are also working on your art! We need to meet in the future, and do some sort of collab in the meantime.Β

Awesome!! I hope I get to see your sculptures one day; I bet they look as amazing as your art.
It's good that they're serious and criticise your roughly; it's the only way you'll be able to grow as an artist.
You definitely should start commissions! I think you'll have to show what your current art's like to increase some urges for people to purchase, though.
Do what you feel like is right for your jobs and art. Try to find that good balance.

It really was not that hard when I forced myself to do it!
I drew the right as first (mere habit) and attempted to draw the left eye of the face afterwards.
The first try was an absolute failure, but once I erased the disaster and tried once more, I initially reached success!
