Here's what I think:
I think Freddy Fazbear's and Fredbear's Family Diner are the same restaurant.
Freddy Fazbear's was made to reopen Fredbear's with more animatronics and more areas and games.
However, because of the MCI, the idea was temporarily scrapped and a "new version" of Fredbear's was opened in 1983, although it was still being referred to as "Freddy Fazbear's".

Then the Bite of '83 happened, and springlock suits were no longer used. Then, a "remade" Freddy Fazbear's was released in 1987. New animatronics, new technology, all that stuff that made the original Freddy's popular, was used in the newer version.
The Bite of '87 happens, and of course the new Freddy's was shut down completely.
They then went back to basics and just reopen the old Freddy's location in 1991. They "fixed" the old models, but yet somehow the company ran out of money and decided not to open it officially.

So basically, Fredbear's was first opened in 1970, got reopened as Freddy Fazbear's, only for it to shut down and have Fredbear's be remade, only for THAT to shut down and Freddy's get remade. Does that make sense?
