Abysswolf said on twitter that they have stopped working on it "for now" so right now it's dead.
He also said it's not up to him if they want to release what they have already created , so basically that means no fan of card saga wars will EVER play it lol.

No the game has been shelved.
They are too busy making sprites for their deviant art pages and what other jobs they have.. so I heard.
A demo was supposed to come out about 6 years ago with 4 playable characters and that never happened either.
All talk and no action I'm afraid.

To show my support for Card Saga Wars, I decided to make some Card ideas. These are not suggestions, but if you want consider these, then thank you.
*Mortal Kombat
Kortal Kahn: God Ray - Kortal summons a piller of sunlight from the sky. If the opponent gets
close to it, he/she won't get knock-back, but will constantly get damaged. If the user gets
close, he/she will constantly get healed.

*Team Fortress 2
Heavy: Sasha - Heavy fires his Minigun, Sasha. Which fires a lot of bullets at the same time.
Spy: Backstab - The Spy turns invisibe. After a few moments, the Spy reappears behind the
opponent and stabs them in the back with a knife, causing him/her to go down to the ground
Medic: Medi Gun - Medic goes behind the User, starts his Medi Gun, and constantly heals little
pieces of his/her health.
Scout: Home-Run - Holding the Sandman, Scout winds up, and swings his bat at the opponent, this
causes him/her to be launched far away.

*Okage: The Shadow King
Ari & Stan: Blaze/Blizzard/Lightning Sword & Crushing Devil - Ari covers his sword with either
fire, ice, or electricity, and slashes the opponent. After that, Stan bashes his head on the
ground, trying to crush the opponent.

*Ys
Aisha: Hydro Shot - Aisha leaps, shoots an arrow diagonally-downward to the ground, and
unleashes a pillar of water, launching the opponent upwards.

*Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Momohime: Quick Draw - Β Momohime releases her blade so fast, that multiple slashes surround the
screen.

*Shadow Hearts
Keith: Larva - Keith summons a couple of larva monsters, then the monsters charge at the
opponents. If all the monsters connect, the opponent will take a decent amount of damage and
get a poison effect. Even if the opponent blocks all of them, he/she will still get poisoned.
Karin: Geuschbenst - Karin covers her blade with fire, and then does a combo of slashes at the
opponent, ending off with a rising slash.
*Johnny: Awaker:Ether Purge - Johnny transforms into The Awaker, jumps on the air, and fires a
lazer beam downwards.

*Higurashi: When They Cry
Rena: Cleaver Assult - Rena lunges at the opponent. If she catches him/her, she forces them to
the ground, laughs like a maniac, and then violently attacks him/her by using a cleaver.

Hi orkimades, just love your sprites is full of action and emotion its beatiful, I thought that we need more games 2d with the nexgen features but anyway, I try to make sprites but was terrible, would you have some tips or something for study, a first step you know? Thanks for your art.
