Nice to see you're still alive. Also wouldn't guess that you were a brony.

Most definitively not a brony. As far as evidence goes. This is very incriminating.
I will admit. Whatever got people to turn into bronies. I did get infected. But I don't plan to join any collectives.
Oh, and hey! I haven't seen you around lately. I only have myself to blame. I should go visit your gallery. Last I remembered. I liked looking at your artwork.

I moved accounts not too long ago, so you might not see anything too new there. As being infected is no shame, as I caught the exact same virus.
Just glad to see you're still around and doing alright as far as I know.

Thank you. I appreciate the fact that you care. Good to know you are doing well too.
If It's too bad I can never seem to have any friends who play the games I play. That's where I am most of the time. Playing a game. Little big planet, Patapon, league of legends. I should really get work done though.

One of my close friends plays League of Legends. I was considering joining, but it didn't seem like something I would get into.
I may reconsider..
Ah. Well, the same can be said for me, as I'm buried in Grand Chase and pokemon, ahaha. Ironically enough, I might put my gaming days to a halt due to college now.

Hm. All depends on how demanding college is. From what I hear if you play games like pokemon you'll find "Friends" who will play it too even there.
I haven't quite gotten the opening to go to college quite yet. I do have a job however as a computer technician which I quite enjoy actually.
The people are cool and the boss lets his dogs hang out in the workspace.

Must be awesome~ Glad you found a job you enjoy. I'm a custodian for an amusement park, which has it's perks every now and again, but overall sucks. With the college I'm in, it's going to give me an externship which will lead to me getting another job (which I hope is soon).
I've made a few friends, but none of them are as into pokemon as I am, sadly. As long as they're into some kind of anime, we click, I suppose.
As for it being demanding, I've only been here a week and a half now, and so far, it's so good. I must say though, knife cuts are harder than I expected.

If you still want it, i can either knock five dollars off he price, or you can still pay the same amount we discussed, but if you dont want it at all now i'll just trash it. Hope you reply soon.

Yeah I did help her make her website. It all depends on how you want to make your website. For experts all you need to do is buy a domain name from a web hoster(godaddy.com is one example but there are MANY others) Then for people who don't really know how to use html and css there's are website that can provide services for you. One I used to make Sagome was freewebs. There's a tutorial when you sign up to make website there. As the name suggest it is free but only with a limited amount of space once you exceed the space(By putting alot on the website or getting huge amounts of traffic) you will have to start ponying up some dough but I'm pretty sure then you will have some really doable deals. Here is the link to the website. [link] If there is any other questions you want to ask me or you would like me to help you with something feel free to ask.

To me that makes you a person of interest. I would like to get to know you if that is fine with you.

OdaSwifteye In reply to miryhis [2009-09-06 18:36:16 +0000 UTC]
Sure. So far I have two stories. One story is about the tale of the kitsunes. Creatures that were created to keep the earth healthy and balance the forces of darkness and light. They also had to defend Sakura(there creator and goddess of light) from a terrible demon that threatens her life. Unfortunately they failed and Sakura died. Out of shame they banished themselves into a stone with the hopes that Sakura's reincarnation will forgive them for there failure. That's where the story begins.
If you have ever played Odin sphere or sonic adventure you might be familiar with the webbed story format I am taking. The same story will follow the event and perspectives of six different characters. So far I have Jigen and Jourton on here but others shall follow soon. These stories as one large story is called the kitsune chronicles but for the life of me I can never figure out where to insert that title..
The other one is called The latchkey club and it is a different story altogether. It follows the story of a girl and her pet kitsune Hanzuko. Her and most of the other children that play a apart of the story are often alone and forgotten. However it is through there friendship they find happiness. So far the story is still pretty young with episodes involving future cast members. Unlike any other story I will ever make this one will never end as long as I still have things to write about.
I hope that you and other people may enjoy reading these stories as much I enjoy writing them.

I don't know Sonic as well, but I do think I know what you're talking about with story format. The way you described it reminded me of the Redwall series. I'm going to go read them though! They sound very interesting! =3

I hope you enjoy reading them. And don't be afraid to give me advice or let me know something that slipped through that I should correct. It's funny that you should mention the redwall series as I am a fan of there books.

Which one is your favorite? =3

Man my memory is pretty bad but I believe they are.
Marlfox And Mossflower. Huh I thought I had read more. Not surprising really. I only read what's available at my school and they often fill the library with teen dramas and romeo and Juliet knockoffs. I should probably read more though. Hey if you have a redwall book that you think is a pretty good read I would more than happy to take you advice and read it.
I would really like to see if that redwall cartoon they made way back when. Lets see if I can google it.
...You may want to see this. [link] I don't know what to say about that.

Ah. I have Marlfox actually. My all time favorite would be Lord Brocktree, I get chills everytime I read it. That's why I love reading Redwall, everytime they scream a battle cry the way i hear it in my mind gives me chills. I know it mist sound silly though X3 I want my comic to be like that, though I won't have huge epic battles, I want my readers to feel what I feel when I write the dialouge.
I actaully have season 2 of the animated series on DVD, it's no where near as good as the books...but I guess that's a given for these days. The DVD its self is selling for about $100 since it's out of print I tihnk. I'm not selling mine, because I'm no going to rip people off X3 As for the movie, it was a hoax...kinda sad though =[

OdaSwifteye In reply to miryhis [2009-09-07 23:20:01 +0000 UTC]
Lord Brocktree eh? I'll keep my eye out for it. I fully understand wanting to engross your readers into a story that is what I am trying to do as well. I like my stories to be fairly action packed as most if not all of them are adventure stories but I also like to slip in all sorts of little things that makes the readers think and question themselves and possibly there own sense of reality. I also like to leave all sorts of things in the story for people who like to talk about stuff. Half the fun of making a webbed story is that you don't have to have moments of heavy exposition, everything sort of explains itself as you go through different perspectives(Kinda like what happened in hoodwinked) though the fun part is leaving things unexplained from a readers point of view and imagining what they think is going on.
I wish I could make comics though. I like them so much more than just plain old text.

Yep, my all time favorite one out of the whole series!
Writing can be just as powerful as pictures, but still, if you want to make your story into a comic, go for it! I switch between writing and drawing. Some stories I'd just rather write, but the comic I'm working on now is also to help me draw better.
I also don't see enough fox comics online...I think I've seen...one.

OdaSwifteye In reply to miryhis [2009-09-08 00:06:23 +0000 UTC]
I don't believe drawing is anything I am capable of doing. I have tried in the past but I am simply unable to draw anything of any value. I believe I would call it stupid fingers seeing that anything that requires using my hands is often blunt untempered and imprecise. Writing on paper. Cutting objects. Trying to line something up right. Grabbing, holding, aiming, throwing I'm quite terrible at all those. I will tell you at what I was decent at though. Sprite comics. That's right I said sprite comics. And not the super detailed ones either. The ones that were edits and shading all done on ms paint with a splash of paint.net. It was good times too. But that unfortunately is in the past.
Really you've only seen one? You'd think you've seen more especially from that furry affinity website. That will change though. One day I'm going to become well known and my stories will be known for having kitsunes in them. It will my mascot maybe. I don't know I'm dreaming big right now as you can tell.

Yeah, my friend calls me a closet furry. I actually wouldn't mind going to a convention, but just to see, you know? I don't think I'd be on Furry Affinity though. I'm sure you'll be well known one day though!
Could you give me tips on character development though? I'm kind of confused about it X3

OdaSwifteye In reply to miryhis [2009-09-08 01:15:45 +0000 UTC]
You need help with character development eh? It's not surprising most people have trouble with that sort of thing. Well for one thing character development is what makes a fictional character real. In many stories people don't change or worse they become dumber. Take Patrick star from spongebob squarepants. He's as dumb as they come but at the beginning he wasn't borderline retarded. At best he seemed arrogant and thickheaded but then he devolved into being retarded. this is negative development. He's become someone that doesn't exist in reality. To prevent that you can't bind your character to stereotypes. Nor can you restrict development for things like humor or fan appeal.
You have to have an idea on what the character was and what they shall become. Take for example in my story desert dreams the main character is a young rebellious boy who has trust issues and has very little if no direction in life. Through the friends and trials he takes with them he learns to trust people and be understanding of others. He also gains some level of stability in life rather than just being a wanderer. However older characters like Torn from Jigen's story is what I like to call an established character. There is no real development for him. He's already set in his ways due to age and mindset(though this doesn't apply to all old people).
My objective is to always make a character that is difficult to understand at first glance. Many shows pigeon hole characters into this or that making them one dimensional and yet again devoid of any true value and lacks any factors that set them apart from any other character ever made. The best character is the perception of Swifteye from every story except his own. In one story he seems like a nice kid. In another he seems to be some sort of hero. In another he seems like a plotter. A person for whose objectives are unknown are suspect to trust. And in one story he may be a villain altogether. The best characters are the ones who under the right conditions can be seen as many things. Jigen is a bad guy who likes to hurt people whether good or bad. Jigen is a hero for standing up for what he believe in and destroying the things that he holds dear to him.
This seems hard eh? It is. But the best way to establish a character that already exist and tweak it to the what you want too happen in the story. For example Jigen is inspired by Jigen from lupin the 3rd. lupin from lupin the 3rd. And spike from cowboy beebop. All three of these characters are different and offer different personalities. As you can see it's not a complete theft of those characters rather just taking fragments and piecing them together to create a unique image. Here's another example. Shadow from Jourton's story is Saskue from Naruto. However he isn't completely like saskue is he? The best way to learn character development is to take notes of stories where characters learn and grow. Like for example miyazaki movies(All of them even the ones that are just romances without action and haven't been dubbed by Disney) are fantastic examples of character development.
And that's not getting into how to make character relationships real part.
I hope that helps.
