# About me

I'm a total sci-fi/fantasy nerd who loves animals of all shapes and sizes. Presently, I am attending Truman State University and persuing a B.S. in biology. I am NOT pre-med, pre-vet, or pre-anything else! I want to work with animals, and I'm really interested in animal behavior. Drawing is my hobby; I draw all the time because I love to. As of right now, I don't intend on persuing art as a career. My sketchbook goes almost everywhere with me, and it keeps me from falling asleep in boring labs or lectures. My favorite subjects are animals, both real and imaginary. I tend to avoid drawing people, as human proportions are a pain. I joined deviantART to show off my own work, and to see what other talented people are doing.

Oh, and the lizard in the picture is George, the resident male chinese water dragon (Physignathus cocincinus) in Truman's herpetarium, where I work. He's the reason I want a pet water dragon...

Current Residence: Either Kirksville or Liberty MO (depends on if school's in session...)
Favourite genre of music: I listen to all sorts of stuff, but I prefer rock music

ohai. wow... this seems oddly creepy, but anyway. I noticed you're majoring in bio at Truman? How is Truman for biology? I'm interested in animal biology and genetics so... yeah... dunno if that helps.

Truman has a good bio program. Thus far, I've learned a lot from my classes. And a great thing about Truman is this: the professors don't automatically assume you're pre-med just because you're studying bio. I want to go into animal behavior, and when I looked at Drury in Springfield, people immediately assumed I wanted to be a doctor, and their bio program was geared for people who are premed. Over all, Truman's a good school. I love it there. But do be warned, there are loads of nerdy peple, and the work is vigorous. Does that help? :) (Smile) And if you don't mind me asking, who is your friend? There is a slim chance I may know him/her...

Yes, that does help a lot! Thank you very much. Animal behavior is another thing I was thinking about, so it's neat that it's what you would like to go into.

Hmmm... I don't think I know anyone by the name of Austin. Truman's a fairly small school, especially when compared to Mizzou, but it's not that small.
