Well I just wanted some help actually.U see, my PS sad got passed away after I formatted the computer for some obvious reasons. So I got Painter. As Im a beginner , I know nothing of it. Can give me some tips on how u paint beautifully?? Thanks

Painter? Well, it's a lot more complex than Photoshop (as I'm sure you've noticed). My advice to you would be to test out the brushes and choose the ones you think you'll be using the most. I personally prefer the fine detail digital airbrush, the acrylic brushes- and for blending- 'just add water' brush (it's a savior). Be sure to use layers- they'll help a lot, and make sure the 'pick up underlying color' is always checked on. Let me know once you paint something new. I'd be glad to see it!

Tara, I'd have loved to paint....but my tablet died x.x
But I have tried painter with my mouse though. So I have tried number of brushes like liquid ink, digi airbrush....and many more. But all of them seems to have 'sprikles'[don't know what to call them...maybe jitter? o.O]
I tried painting with my mouse by reducing the opacity and all but the result was totally not a painting xD

Oh, you're talking about grain. Yeah, most brushes have that attribute as to portray a more realistic, traditional feel. So you're using a mouse? Darn, I have no idea how Painter performs with a mouse you see... Yeah, I'd say that unfortunately, PS is more mouse-friendly than Painter. Painter relies heavily on pressure sensitivity as to perform properly. I guess all I can say is just keep trying. Sorry. xP
