Yep, it's really a wonderful franchise and it has a really nice fandom too! The Lion King 1 and 2 were my fav movies when I was still a kid but lost interest in it someday. Now after about 10 years I've watched the live action movie in the cinema and it was so nostalgic and beautiful and it totally brought me back into the fandom. After that I directly bought myself The Lion King 1-3 on Blu-Ray, watched the complet first season of The Lion Guard and bought a Kiara and Nala plushie. I would say the hype is real xD
