Naw... The positive about IT 'A' School is that it's self pace(I mean that's REALLY good). The bad news is that there is absolutely NO HANDS ON TRAINING!!! It's all internet based training!! The closest I'll get to 'hands on' with this course is a lame as 3D simulator... They told me you'll get all that hands on bs in the Fleet. But I don't wanna end up on a ship and have some troops on the ground getting killed because I don't know how to do my job properly.
Plus today after we got back from lunch break the entire system went down. So we spent 3 hours trying to log on!!
It's not that I hate my rate, I think it's a matter of a) Getting used to it, and b)Feeling confident enough to do so. .....Plus I can always switch in two years to become an MC!!!

Hands on just isn't feasible sometimes. Don't worry, you'll have NCOs that know what they're doing; they'll keep you straight.
