To call me a floyd fan is a severe understatement. Its pretty much the only music i listen to! Syd is one of the most marvelous and tragic enigmas of our time. I saw Roger Waters perform a couple of years ago, and during Shine One You Crazy Diamond, he had a slide show with images of Syd in his youth and early days with the band. It was a beautiful tribute to say the least.
But to answer your question, yes i am a Pink Floyd fan and glad you are to.

You definitely make me feel like a Pink Floyd novice! I don't know anywhere near as much by them as you, but I like everything by them I've heard. Funnily enough, I bought The Madcap Laughs just yesterday. It's great. I love Syd Barrett, he's incredible, and yes, very sad.

It stands for Star Destroyer.net. It was largely dedicated to the Star Wars vs. Star Trek debate, with actual science being used to see who would win. However said debate has died down, and SDN's forums now focused on sci-fi in general, though they also discuss non-sci-fi and real-world issues. They also have quite a number of kick-ass fanfics. The site is owned by the enginner and SW fan Michael Wong.

your work is so fantastic, I have no idea why my random abstract work would lower your self esteme.. I'd kill an infant to be able to draw. If I didn't suck so much at realism then I wouldn't have to rely so heavily on abstract/surrealism as a means of communicating whatever is in my head.
