I'm not a big Touhou fan, but I can say that the series had an interesting start. I mean, the first game was essentially a hectic game of Breakout, with all subsequent titles becoming bullet hell shooters. Weird way to start out, that's for sure.

Yeah, the first 2 games (HRtP and SoEW) is a good start for a beginning of a game legacy. I myself like HrTP because it's unique battle system.
