Every few months I suddendly think of 6-Commando and go back to check out a few pages (and usually end up re-reading more). I love your work!

Very kind of you to say so, and it makes me think how long it’s been since I’ve had the time to sit down and work on it. 6-Commando remains in the front of my mind, but things for me are just at a standstill artwise right now. Like all things it’ll pass, though, and I’m lucky to have patient readers like you on my side!

I have a question, I wanted to comission someone to help me design vehicles for a webomic i was planning. more info here  Looking to commission for concept art for WebcomicI'm looking to commission someone to help me create concept art for a webcomic I was planning to do. I'm looking for someone who will help me with vehicle design, Fashion design, and possibly landscape design. I was possibly thinking of using Deviantart Points as a method of Payment
Now I should disclose that I was going to either use, incorporate, or reference said work in a comic I eventually plan to monetize (either through merchandise or some other means).
I want to know everything I need to commission someone for this type of endeavour. I want to know all the legal stuff, What I should do price wise, how I should advertise, and if anyone would be interested to begin with. . I was wondering if you would be interested? I could give you more details if you are.

Thanks for thinking of me, but I rarely have time for commissions at the moment, and when I do them, I only work contractually for a negotiated rate deliverable in transferable U.S. currency, and from what I'm seeing you're only budgeting dA points for this project.

Best of luck with your project, though!  Looks like you have some very interesting ideas for it!

Thanks, I was just thinking of a project made by the community, for the community, something a lot of people could be a part of and have fun creating.

P.S. no I didn't want to be "THAT" kind of person.

Kind of you to inquire but I'm overworked at the moment, so I'm afraid I'm not taking commissions.  If that should ever change, I'll make sure it's generally known!

Hi there it is me again. ^^ I just browsed through your Archive of 6-Commando again to look at this marvelous comic again. And I noticed something:

www.viciousprint.com/6commando…

Here in this page you show the caduceus as a international symbol for medicine. Dunno if that was intentionally, but as far as I know this is only used in the US, because the caduceus was originally the sign of greek god of Hermes, who was the Messenger of the gods and also the god of trade, so it was originally a Symbol of trade. The real sign would be the 'Rod of Asclepius'. They do look quite similar but many people seem to confuse them.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_of_A…

Just wanted to let you know that. And please keep up your awesome art.

MrAverage In reply to Matthew-Travelmaster [2013-08-06 22:37:26 +0000 UTC]

You know that's a really interesting point.  I'm glad you pointed that out - I'll have to think about redesigning that logo.  In the 6-Commando world, the Red Cross is only used by the UNA and CONASUR, though - in most countries it's the "Red Helix."  So it's not REALLY the caduceus, but it's definitely drawn from the same basic design.  I'll have to give that some thought.

Since I still have not figured out how to write a comment on your own Comic-site I have to say it here.

Those Russian AI-controlled battlebots look just cute, nearly toy-like. ^^ I am so curious, how it comes that a western sentient battle-tank and three sentient eastern battle-bots are working together Please Keep up your awesome work. (and post an explanation soon, I wanna know what is going on exactly )

MrAverage In reply to Matthew-Travelmaster [2013-04-29 02:14:53 +0000 UTC]

Hey, thanks a whole lot, man! I'm really glad you dig the comic, and I hope you'll figure out how to add to the conversation over on the site - it's where all the REAL action is!

But thanks, seriously - drawing the comic takes a lot of time, and knowing that people enjoy it and follow it makes me feel really good about all the effort.
