Well, that's a shame. I suppose that the not busy thing is nice, though. During the summer I was practically the only person from my class that didn't look forward to summer ending. I seemed to be the only one that thought that doing things that didn't involve being at school can be fun (God forbid any of them pick up a book, or, you know, do anything that didn't involve sitting on their asses (and, i mean, sitting on one's ass can be fun. When somethings actually being done)).
Strangely they are now the people who are complaining the most.
Hmm, I wonder if that's been bugging me. *cough* Sorry to rant.

Haha, it's no problem... ranting helps, you know. But yeah, kids who have too much time on their hands want school to give them a kind of schedule to their day... let me tell you, once you're in college, getting to make your OWN schedule's pretty damn sweet.

Not atm, I'm pretty happy with my life - even though my classes aren't challenging, it DOES mean I can sleep in class.

As for your SRP... what were you thinking of going into, like for college? Doing a project in your planned major's a good idea. It'll give you an idea of what said major consists of within a university/research environment... and the U of A actually has some pretty good opportunities.
