Heaven help us! Shew, I'm glad that I just stumbled on "One Life" this week, though I am sorry for all the rabid fanreaders who've been with you for 4 years on it!
I just wanted to drop you an encouraging note, that I love your story, and your characters are great and consistent, the plot has lots of lovely strings that have been or need to be tied up, and you didn't use too much deux ex machina! Please keep writing! So much angst, sorrow and general frustration deserves a healthy, well-rounded, tender, glorious ending.

Hello there. Thank you for your encouragement. I read your comment a few days ago and it really has me thinking.
I'm ashamed to have turned into one of "those" writers who seems to have dropped off the fanfiction face of the earth. I know first hand how frustrating it is to have found a fanfiction that you truly enjoy only to find that it isn't complete and hasn't been updated in so long. (see my recommended reading list above for three really magical fanfics, but beware. Two are incomplet 
Well, I am getting back to work. I've actually had a few breakthrough moments with the last chapter and I am excited to get them down on "paper".
