honestly idk where im going its probably gonna be a state school cuz i dont want to put all my trust on being an artist, you know.
like i wanna have a back up plan just in case i realise i hate being an /artist/ and/or everyones better than me
but first im gonna go to community college to finish my GE requirements so im not gonna go for another year or two maybe

I'm defiantly majoring in art for many reasons. ;v; The problem is that I desperately need to improve my art skills during the next few years. :<
Also, I'm not 100% clear on how college works but are you supposed to send the applications to college during junior or senior year? Cause I was told that it was junior year and I kinda freaked out. Q^Q

um honestly i didn't plan too well so i dont relly know but im pretty sure you should know where you want to go by junior year and apply in senior year, if you want to go to college immediately after high school. also if youre going to art school you need to have a portfolio to apply with which is typically ~20 things

obv if youre ging to community college its different but yeah if youre going right after college you need to have your application by ~January in senior year i think?
idk im going to ivc first cuz im a fucknut and waited too long to look into this

Oh, that's so much better. I'm so glad it's not during junior year because I'd be so screwed art-wise omg. ;w; Also I'm kinda scared about preparing my portfolio in the future because there won't be enough creative ideas in there or something.
I think doing the two years community--two years regular would be the best option for me thou for multiple reasons hhh
also I can't seem to find good art schools around here o: I mean, granted I haven't looked very hard for one but um

Yeah no i feel you i dont think im good enough to submit a portfolio to anywhere right now and id rather improve and get my GEs out of the way in the next two years and be able to go to a good college.

Uh around here we have LCAD, and then theres the Art Institutes, but those are for-profit so idk if theyre a good choice. my english teacher said the problem with some art schools is a lot of people want to be artists but have never drawn in their lives, so they get fished into going to really expensive private schools because they see  lot of ads about them. 
idk all i know is its important to do your research and dont just go to the first thing you hear of.
i mean i havent exactly researched much so im probably being  hypocrite but OH WELL


Anyway yeah if you go to community youll have  lot more time to get a portfolio together and also to improve which takes a disgusting amount of time tbqh 6_9
although im glad ur taking this portfolio and college shit seriously cuz i didnt till this year and now im miserble and feel like shit 90% of the time so yay on u
