I am from La Habana. And is true. The first time I saw Sakimivhan's works was coz sone friend showed me them. Later i started tho search them by myself and found her dA page. Many people in the otaku conventions here recognize and love her work. Some of them maybe don't know about her page here but they still loving her.
By the way. I am very glad finding more people from Cuba. nice to meet you. You can count on me if you need. And if is better for you talk un spanish just let me know

there are otaku conventions in Cuba? i didn't know that either. i'm from matanzas but moved here when i was 4.

yes they are!!  I know is something maybe you don't espect to hear from Cuba, but they exist (as far as I know) since 2012 or something like that. And is kinda hard make them, but the are bigger every year. of course, conventions here are way smaller compared to other countries's conventions but I think thing are getting better
