Do things always have to be meaningful though?
I'm sure lots of people draw and doodle and craft just for the pleasure of making pretty/odd/weird/satisfying things.
Though the word meaningful could mean many different things to many different people. I know the knitting I do is meaningful to me because I enjoy the process of knitting. I know some people that finding the perfect picture is meaningful to them.
