Hannah's kind of a big deal 6The reality of being a living being the size of the tallest skyscrapers is not as grand a one might think. Hannah had been awake for almost an hour and this world she was living in now was a very harsh one. It was very hard for her to breathe. It was as though she was in a room with not enough air. Her vision struggled in that she could not make details of the ground. She was pretty sure she close to the road or maybe even standing on it but unless she lay down on the ground she could not see it very well.
When she did lie down she didn’t like what she saw. She had caused a lot of damage when she grew the last time. She had hurt a lot of people. When she was standing it was hard to think of them as people but now looking at the aftermath she understood again the those little things were people and that now she posed a very serious threat to them.

The golden roof of the Capital building in Atlanta, Georgia gleamed in the distance. Hannah had no problem seeing it from where she stood. The only problem was that she was taller than the any building in the city, and she was only getting larger. For the last half hour the US military had tried their very best to destroy her but with no success. Instead they had leveled most of southern Atlanta and the area around the baseball stadium.
She was not advancing to the north but that didn’t matter any more. The shots had been fired and her nation was at war with her. She had swatted several airplanes down when they had flown to close. She didn’t want to hurt any one but they were buzzing around her head like gnats at a picnic.
Missiles’ had been fired at her and exploded when they hit her and while they stung her they had no real effect. The Tanks and men on the ground had fired on her non stop and more than a few had paid with their lives.

Hannah's Kind of a Big Deal:The CureGreat strides can only carry a person so far. Even her giant strides could only carry Hannah to the edge of the Carolina’s before she grew tired and had to rest. The best she could say was that she had not been attacked since she had crossed the Georgia state line. So as she lay her head down to sleep she worried about what the morning would hold.
As Hannah slept, around the world governments went to work solidifying their boarders to prepare for what they believed would be Hannah’s invasion of their sovereign territory. A few nations though were intrigued by the problem she presented. They understood better than most that if her growth was not halted that she would destroy the planet and everyone on it. Those nations banded together and began researching her condition pouring through every last one of her medical records to try and find something that might give them a clue to the root of the issue.

Hannah's Kind of a Big Deal: All Fall DownThe problem with things that are broken is that they seldom if ever go back together. In this case the world was broken. The United States had been broken apart and dissolved for nearly a generation.
Several factions had tried over the years to pull the old republic from the ashes of the burnt up ground but far too much water had traveled over the dam, or under the bridge, or wherever it is that the damn water flows.
Hannah was now in her mid early thirties. She and David tried to lead humbly and quiet life for the most part in the Georgian Territories. The leaders of the territory left the two alone mostly except to make sure that Hannah took the medicine she had come to depend on as her size stabilizer. There was always talk about the day when they could no long provide her with the medicine.

Hannah's Kind of a Big Deal: Beyond“Hannah, my darling little girl, dry your eyes.” Through teary eyes Hannah looked at her mother. She was in her old bedroom back in Cassville. A home she had not seen or lived in for over fifteen years. She knew that couldn’t be right. Still she tried to listen to her mother as she spoke only words didn’t come out.

Hannah swiveled her head around looking for the loud screams and the sounds of weapons being fired but the sounds were gone and were replaced by her father's voice.
“They are just not used to seeing someone your size at your age is all. I know it’s hard to understand right now but baby one day you will understand why God made you this way.”
Hannah had not heard her father’s voice in nearly ten years. She was now even more aware that something wasn’t right. He had died in a flu outbreak several years before.

The Honeymoon Island TripThe couple ducked quickly into the back on the long white limo as family and friends continued to shower birdseed down around them. The door closed quickly and Kallie shuffled into her seat and arranged her gown so that it wasn’t terribly bunched up beneath her. The shoreline of the lake was crowded with throngs of people. Which during the summer season wasn’t really all that unusual. However the reason the crowd stood on the man made beach, of the large man made lake was not just for cookouts and swimming at the moment.

The Long and Short Of It: First ImpressionsSammi’s right eye was starting to twitch. She was tired and after having sat through yet another pointless debrief meeting at the end of her 12 hour shift. She was ready to go home. She was ready to get out of her uniform. She was ready to put on her sweatpants and her favorite baggy tee-shirt and maybe pass out on her bed.
In that very moment though all she really wanted do was to be able to scratch an itch that was at the moment driving her absolutely crazy. Her left nipple was itching something fierce. Her right one was a little irritated as well but nothing like the left one.
She blamed herself. She had talked herself into trying to hold out until her next paycheck before buying a new bra as the last couple she had now were wore out and to be honest a little bit on the small side.
