My cosplay arrived yesterday and all that needs to be done is the 50 needs to be added and the wig has to be style. I will be posting photos of myself and you don't have to like it. You have every to say it sucks.

Thank you but she's a cosplayer of 13 years of experience and I don't know what her reaction might be if i told her that my costume was not made by me. What do you think her reaction might be?

It's not uncommon for a cosplay not to have made their own outfits. So I would assume that she would understand.

Well, I would see it as you would be getting into trouble by the person who made your outfit if you did not get their approval to enter the contest. You are also kind of going against your sellers right and the rules of the contest. =/ I know you will probably have a really hard time with cosplaying thereafter...I have seen many that actually do this and are ridiculed terribly after they are found out... So it would be very wise to get approval from the maker before entering so they are aware and you have their approval to give them the credit afterward and share the prize?

It's just as bad Lance Armstrong taking performance enhancing drugs and Milli Vanilli lip syncing on their album. I have no cosplay yet and I'm not competing in anything yet not until I get approval from the seller. What is the prize and how am I suppose to send their share back to them without any detour? Besides, I would credit the seller anyway because it's only fair since I didn't make it.

Because people will know what the cosplay had done and will put that cosplay to shame and ridicule them about it =\ as I have said I have seen it happen and the result is not pretty so I suggest not doing it

Drive carefully, and make sure you have everything packed the week before the con cause you wanna make sure you have it all and you can leave at a decent time n.n; I have down the night before packing and panicked cause I forgot a lot.

Make sure you have lots of water, food, and first aid stuff. Also a small sewing kit.

Basically it's like going to a con close to home just going to a con out of state makes sure you get at the hotel on a Thursday morning/afternoon to have a room to settle in. Typically if it a big con like KatsuCon I leave that Wednesday night and get there at 6am on Thursday morning. This helps get my room on time n.n

Thank you, But there's one glaring problem, I live in Canada which means I'll fly over or take a LONG car trip plus, I do know how to sew which is okay i guess cause cons are all about having a good time and meeting new friends. If have advice for this please let me know. btw have you checked out that orchestra lineup i posted?

Flying can be costly especially with cosplay due to the limitation of bags, but also driving is difficult too depending if you are traveling to the States. If it is a US con then you will be obviously stopped by border police to have a vehicle check, it also costs money to get across both borders and passports too. x.x; If you don't have a passport you cannot get in or out of US. If the trip is in Canada then you would be okay...Depending on the drive. What I go by is if the drive is longer than 12 hours I fly, cause that is my limit to driving. So depending on how long you can drive for I would limit yourself to that.

And meeting new friends is always great! ^^ Best way is to share common interests and compliment others, especially during like photo shoots (Which I feel is the best time) Odd to say...When I am at a convention, other's find it difficult to approach me because I am scary?? But afterwards they always find me on either facebook or here n.n and that is how I make friends with others. XD then I get told I am scary, even my best of friends tell me that when they first met me that I was scary to them x.x;

And sorry no I haven't. I have been really busy over the past couple of weeks. I got addicted to playing FinalFantasy Online and Until Dawn >< On top of that I am assisting with the Hetalia Day for Boston, due to it being the same day as the Zombie Event we are trying to come up with new and interesting things to try.

Thanks for the heads up. I just spoke to my mother about getting a passport in which i will receive and i won't be satisfied unless i go to at least one us con and european con. What if there is certain cosplayer that you want to see, what advice do have on that issue? What can you do if don't how to make your own cosplay? Does anyone care if you made the cosplay or not and i'm worried the reaction from others might be if i told them "i didn't make this" . How do organize photoshoots and be part of them, is there an application to sign or do just join? are you also allowed to play harmless pranks on other cosplayers just for fun?

If you want to see a special cosplayer, I would first see what con they go to and if by chance you see them n.n walk up to they and say hello, then compliment them of why they are special to you and you are glad to have met them.
I honestly do not think it is judged on whether your costume is bought or made, to be honest it is how you wear your outfit and present yourself. My America is store bought from clothing at Walmart and just altered, and Klar's coat for Russia is custom made from a seller in China, same with my Haru. The only costume I psychically made was Hagar and I have yet to share him cause it has been way to hot to put him on, buy I take pride in my work which is what makes me happy. So as long as you take pride in your outfit and present yourself in a pleasant manner you will be content.
You don't have to sign up for photography, it's just a public gathering of cosplayers from a specific anime that get together for photos. You can find these by search the con forums for scheduled photoshoots (sometimes cobs public announce them on their websites.) And once your in the group of the selected event, you wait until the character you are currently is called and you go up to take photos.
And lastly I wouldn't suggest makes any harmless pranks for it could cause harm to an individual and you might not know it. But unless they are your friends and you know them really well then I would say it's acceptable n.n

I wouldn't do anything insane, the pranks i meant are hand buzzers, squirting flowers and/or rings, and just plain goofing off for the fun of it. 

When I first read Austria's wiki page on the Hetalia website i thought: "this guy should get out more" because he's inside most of the time and doesn't exercise very much. If he did, not only would his physical condition improve, he would feel good about because exercise releases endorphins which allow to think positively he would also be a better musician.

I would suppose those would be alright n.n I just know some pranks are taken too far and the prankster typically thinks its fun and games =/ Which I mean for them it is, but spraying someone at close range with sillystring and into another's wig/hair is unacceptable.

And I would have to agree, currently I am wanting to do that exercising thing. However today is a typically stormy day where it is best to stay indoors until the weather passes since New England weather is always unpredictable.

Well with me as the conductor I don't see that that happening. Also, the orchestra is something i want implement into the cosplay world meaning i would get bunch of cosplayers with musical experience to be apart of this.
