# About me
What's going on this side?Personally, I don't like Abstract art. They are the prime excuse for incompetent morons who can't do a thing for shit to try harvest some attention off pompous rich morons. Surrealism, on the other side, is a completely different story.
Anyways, I can give advice on improvement. For ego fueling and attention-craving, there you have the rest of DA. Tip: If you don't get any better, stop wondering why you aren't getting any e-fame. By the way, e-fame is the least important thing for you. Getting better at it should be. Otherwise, try Facebook. Remember to wear no bra and to smile, dumbass!

Hello there! erm.. well I don't really know how to word it, so i'll just cut straight to the point.
Would you please give me a critique?
I've been drawing and such since I could pick up a pencil, and I know i'm getting better.
But I think having some honest opinion outside of my close family and friends would be wonderful! Aside from that i'm impressed with previous critiques you've made.

I have to say, I am very impressed by your critiques. I really don't have words to describe how wonderful they are, but point being, I would love to learn from you. Just one critique would be enough to drive me to so what I want/need to do to improve etc.
If you do get back to me, (which if you don't, I will totally and completely understand) I think it's important for you to know that I am trying to achieve a unique cartoonist style. I've been attempting and drawing "cartoons" for two years, but just can't tackle that one true style with kirks that set me aside from other artists.
I know one of the key elements I need to focus on are anatomy, but since I'm doing cartoons, they're obviously not going to be truly realistic, which is what I think will make my style MY style. Then there are other difficulties, such as poses and which way my characters are facing. I get very frustrated and stressed when drawing because it is VERY difficult for me to do most things from a side view or a tilt. I would go on, but I think you've got the jist of what I'm trying to say/what I'm having trouble with.
Then there is another style that I haven't really tapped into yet. It's something I'd usually see on tumblr, but honestly could anywhere. It's sort of like a cartoony style, but is semi realistic. I know my description was brief and very misleading, so I'll provide links for examples on what I'm trying to achieve. Also, I'm not trying to replicate anything I want something that is mine and mine alone, but need help doing so.
Thank you for reading,
Tosh.

Ehm, sweetie, just like with EVERYTHING (remember those definitions back at the nose piece?) you seemingly unknow the terms you are refering to. An insult is to harm the emotional integrity of a person, intentionally. Criticism is throroug observation of someone's piece, hint issues, then advice on how to fix these problems.
I do INSULT dolts whom are pretentious enough to pass misinformation as facts (like copying is good source of learning if it's from others works). I don't deny. But, if asked, or seing someone openly willing to improve (they ask, they wonder, they openly announce they want advice), I give it to them. It's already over with the days I forced criticism onto other people.
Wow, seriously, I did gift you a dictionary (or an aencyclopedia) if you like. You apparently can't fully comprehend what you are saying-that particular line, is an insult.

tbonegirl28 In reply to MakarovJAC [2014-03-23 06:16:38 +0000 UTC]
It's not misinformation based on my experience and many others around me in my Illustration program. We all learn by copying masters and photographs and my school attracts people from China, Africa, and India to come to our tiny school and learn because it's that good and every year the work is improving. I know my own work has improved over the years as a result of working from photos and reference images and master studies. How is it misinformation if it works?

MakarovJAC In reply to tbonegirl28 [2014-03-23 06:36:54 +0000 UTC]
Now, dumbass (seriously, I even wonder if you know where are you right now), what you are saying (learning from photos and reference images (which I supposed are more photos and even footage)) you are NOT saying that you are learning from other's works (drawings, illustrations, animations, etc. Dumbass). Which outright contradictcs your claims of watching images such as the one of the stylished noses is helpful, dumbass. It outright support my claims that nature is, indeed, a learning method.
These photos ARE nature. They REFLECT nature. It's not watching another's drawings (such as the stylished noses drawing which you so much insist is a good reference). Dumbass.
Seriously, I didn't wanted to say it, but you are borderline stupid. I might be the greatest asshole on the planet, and borderline troll. But you, not fully comprehending what you are talking is painful to watch, dumbass. So all this long you were basically saying what I have been talking about all this time, but you (somehow) did not catched it? Seriously, how couldn't you, up to this time, still not notice the coincidences? You know, like nature, REAL LIFE (I repeated that a couple of times), with PHOTOGRAPHIES AND REFERENCE IMAGES OF REAL PEOPLE.
I'll give you the best advice anyone will ever give to you; ASK. Make questions. VERIFY before talking. THINK TWICE before jumping into conclusions. Make SURE that you fully comprehend what you are reading. (I was going to finish that advice calling you a dumbass, but I rather not. I seriously need you to take that into consideration).

I say learning from other peoples Illustrations animations, ect. is good
I also say using reference images, photos, and life modeling are good sources of learning as well.
your ridged boxes of how people should learn and do art are what bothers me. I don't like modern art, but it's not hurting things. I think it helps in fact. Also seriously, "big boobs and bigger boobs" in your interests. How old are you? Seriously give your age. I'll start. I'm 21. Your turn.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MakarovJAC In reply to tbonegirl28 [2014-03-23 07:27:27 +0000 UTC]
You are a lost cause. Modern art has the drawback of forcing concepts into pieces of work without giving away hints of its meaning. If they only said "because it looks pretty" I wouldn't have a problem with it. But NO, they do HAVE to go around a pretending that a bunch of random lines and stains are supposed to mean an intrincate concept! One way ticket into "artisthood" for whatever dumbass who can't draw a straight line for his life.
And then, humans do have personal tastes regarding mates. Not everybody picks X girl because it was all that was left. Bust size, in this case, is a perfectly reasonable choice to look for in a mate (increased stimuly perceiption; potential for foreplay; increased sex drive on sexual partner (that one is important; a person who doesn't feel physically attracted to his/her mate is not likely to perform well during intercourse*)). And it's an interest which is not against legal or moral codes of any country (unless you are a batshit crazy feminist who vilifies well-endowed women, rendering breast as a form of "objectification" and it's presence/display as a form of "pathriarcal oppresion". Wether or not the decision of displaying cleavage is personal.
Seriously, stop pretending to be smart, and think twice what you are about to say.
*In hillbilly English; you aren't going to do much if you are not in the mood for it.

(I seriously need you to stop being condescending and take that into consideration) What I was trying to say all along and that you just noticed is that I said from the beginning copying people who know what they're doing is beneficial (Like the person who drew the noses. It's always good to look at more and more art of every kind even stylized). What I was also trying to get through to you was that drawing from photographs and references, films, whatever reflects like is good. That has been my position from the start. What you were telling me through this whole thing was that Life, direct life modeling, was the only way to learn. It's not the only way. Copying styles and processes can also be beneficial.
You following so far? Hm? Pictures of all kinds good. Life observations good. Copying masters and doing master studies Good. Basics good. Insulting and disrespecting other artists Bad! VERY BAD! Also seriously you cherry picked a stupid sketch that means absolutely nothing as an example of I don't know what I'm doing(I'm an Illustration student at a good college I DO know what I'm doing). It's not perfect, but not everything is going to be so use something else that put I effort into to critique or as a true example of I have no clue what I'm doing.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MakarovJAC In reply to tbonegirl28 [2014-03-23 07:13:08 +0000 UTC]
I cherry picked that one because is the best example to the opposite of observation of real life. I did not took into consideration the others because they did took into that consideration. However, we go back to the beginning, your insistence in copying others works is pretty much the reason of why despite all the anatomically and aesthetically correct works in your gallery, you still missed at one which at this point shouldn't represent much of a trouble.
Also, again, stop using the term "copying", d...you know already. Why don't you switch it with "study", huh? You know, like in "observation of a person's work in hopes of understanding NOT the sources used for inspiration, but the solutions given by them for every consistent aspect of an illustration (A.K.A. Style)". Not "copying" in the sense of "outright copying whatever a person made without fully comprehending how or why did that person choose to re-interpret the form (as in shapes) into a similar, but unrealistic regardless, way".
Sorry, but reading you is frustrating. I might be an asshole, but you are confused just like a freshman which just learned about comunism, superficially. I made myself clear countless times, however, you insisted in using these terms wrong ad nauseum. Also, a good institution doesn't translate into 100% good students. There's always the black sheep. I'm not going to say you are that one, but you better begin to get your facts straight instead of misleading with bad use of terms, and poor reading comprehension. And fix that AC drawing already! A pencil sketch and having ANYONE pose for your for as long as you can quick-sketch the basic pose should be enough to fix the problem. Or you simply watch footage of olympics, marathons, or photografies, for that matter. That should fix it for once.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
tbonegirl28 In reply to MakarovJAC [2014-03-23 07:36:31 +0000 UTC]
I'm not fixing it because the idea was the important thing I wanted to share. If I really cared about how it looked I would have taken the time to make a real drawing or painting. Also I don't get the difference between copying a work and studying it. It's the same thing. You study it by copying it. Thats how it works. A master study is a copy you made of a masters piece. I posted a study I did of a dragon from another user, Pythosblaze. maybe that'll help you understand what I'm what I'm saying. The pictures are side by side and I learned a lot from that process. Mainly how to work on a tablet, work in photoshop better, and color selections. You use all these fancy words, but all that you're saying is "copy" by looking and understanding the ideas behind a picture, but the best way to look at a picture is to take the time to physically reproduce it. Thats how you notice the little details and subtle styles they use throughout the painting. It's easy to figure out what Pythosblaze meant behind his dragon piece. He likes minerals and dragons so he combined the two and made a whole series of them. I also know where to get photo references, thanks for the advice, but that picture is just gonna stay the way you hate it because it's just a sketch and I like it just the way it is and I have other things to do. I'm glad for the in put. You're right it's rather static. I'll look out for that in future pieces. You're still a giant ass hole. Don't talk to me again please.

Oh...my...Buddha... You can't be serious. For starters, she always acknowledge she has flaws. In fact, EVERY artists admits to their flaws. I never met an artists that didn't admit to their flaws including 'famous' artists on DA.
Second, she post this journal because she was confused to see how the fuck you worded yourself. You critique alright until you started treating her as if she has no life other than art, or you're basically saying 'Fuck your family, Fuck your future career, Fuck everything in life except for art. You must do this right until your art is appealing to a blind person.'
