You are welcome! I adore your dark and gloomy landscapes. They look amazing with each there distinct and limited color palette, and the composition is very solid indeed! I am completely unable to tell how you have made them. What method did you use?

I work with a lot of abstract forms that I created and accumulated over time. Today I give them a little life and history. Work composition.

Ow, yes ^^ Sorry for not leaving a comment for you. I got distracted by realizing that my tea had been steeping  for about 15 minutes x]
You have some great work on display though, in particular your latest creations! It makes me wanna' try illustrating in the same "tarot" styled drawings myself. What is your background that lead you to achieve this cool style? I assume you are taking art classes, or maybe you are already a professional?

Anyway, thanks for the spark of inspiration! I am looking forward to see more of your work

Ah, I know what that means, when you completely forgot your tea and then you realize it's gonna be very sour and sharp xD
I'm taking more and more fun to do the art nouveau works, I really like it ! I think I enjoy it because yes, I'm in an art school (Fine-art School of Rennes), but nobody there teach me how to draw, and nobody did before, I'm an self-taught person. Worst than that : In my school nobody know what I'm doing here, the teachers say that I'm bad at drawing. That makes me sad, so I take my revenge with personal works ^^

Thank you a lot for the nice comments and I send you the best positive waves to make new and shiny artwork

Aaah, so "nouveau" is what the style is called.

But I don't understand, you are at a Fine-art school, but you do not receive any drawing lessons? How can that be?
Man.. I can understand why it hurts you, if the teachers say that you are bad at doing, what you appear to love the most. But given the fact that you have been able to develop your artistic skills this far, all on your own, you would be able to get very far indeed by receiving proper training. Something witch it sounds like your current school is in short supply of

Yep ^^ But it is not physical sculptures, though I would love to study how to do that. It's virtual sculpting, using computer software. I made this with 8 fellow students, it will give you a good idea of what I do  vimeo.com/34072719

I'm very sorry to hear that you have been burdened with such a bad school Good thing it is over soon. I had the best 3½ yaers of my life at The Animation Workshop where I got my education as a Computer Graphic Artist. It was the closest thing to Hogwarts, if you ask me ;D Wau! Tattoo artist, that is quite a responsibility, I don't think I would ever dare to do that myself. I would be too afraid of making irreparable mistakes But I would imagine that the road to becoming a tattoo artist is not exactly a straight forward process. So what are you going to do once you are free of the Arts and Craft chaines?

It's not only Nouveau, it's "Art Nouveau", like "Arts and Crafts" in England ^^

Nope, I'm in the Design section, but even if we need to know how to draw, Fine-Arts school aren't what they seem to be, or what they used to be. You draw too well ? Well, you belong to the past centuries, it's over now. Do me some Picasso kick ass stuff. You see, that's the spirit. I'm disgusted by this mentalities... But like you said, out of school, I feel like I can improve a lot by my own What a relief, I feel usefull !

MaboZuka In reply to cam-miyu [2014-05-01 08:03:23 +0000 UTC]

Yes I draw as well, both traditional pen and paper, and digital. I also do 3D scolptures
But yes, that mentality of the school does not sound like a very good one. An artist is driven by his/her own enthusiasm towards the work he/she is producing. Different styles are interesting to explore, but one will only become happy if he/she steers towards that which satisfies their personal needs. Art is not a democracy, it can be trained, but should never be tamed.

But where do you want to take your talents? I assume it is something that you want to do for a living one day, right?

You also do sculptures ? Amazing, I wish I could do that too !! =O

Yes, I hate my school. The end of the year is very soon, but I'm exhausted... It's not even a democracy, this is dictatorship !! >__< Then don't even know how to teach, we don't know how to use some obligatory softwares, so the pupils that know how to teach the others. I don't even want my diploma, I just want all of this over and LEAVE.

Yes I wanna do this for a living ! I want to be a tattoo artist

Right back at you Hacardous Your work is great, and very inspiring! I hope you have made some modeling tutorials that I can watch to learn some of your working methods. The mere wireframes of your characters are great reference to look at when I'm modeling ^^ So thank you for sharing your craft
I hope that I some day can be at your level of professionalism and skill.
