Indeed, I am. Of both, actually, though The Guyver fandom came first back in the mid-90s when I discovered the original 12-episode Guyver series. Though, the 2005 series was pretty enjoyable too.

i was a Guyver fan the first time it came on TV.
i still a little kid back then.
now years later its Still Hardcore!
the new 2005 tv series, was more Storylike, then Violence.
but i liked the plot even beter.

I wasn't even aware The Guyver anime ever was on TV. I originally saw the first american movie, then when I was at blockbuster one day, found the VHS if the The Guyver anime, watched it, and loved it.
And yeah, the 2005 series is about plot, but it also deviates from the manga storyline, and mixes in alot of the novel zoanoids and such as well. Plus a few other little indiscretions, such as only Guyver 1 being in the Gigantic cocoon, instead of both G1 and G3 being inside.
And I've read some of the manga, and know what happens beyond either of the animes.

With the Manga im at the chapter were Agito is Synct with 2 Control medals he stole from Balcus.
Guyver has the BEST storyline in all the Mangas and Anime's i have Seen and Read.
there is one thing that NEVER happend in the Tv Series 2005, but it did happen in the Anime Ova from the 90's.
the Tumors on Sho's and Agito's back.
they only used it in the the 90's ova. xD

Maybe I was misinformed.. what I had heard originally, as I havent read that far in the manga myself, was that Agito and Sho were both saved inside the cocoon, which is why there's only one Gigantic unit between the two of them.
And in the 20005 series, Sho did have the "tumors" on his back. I watched it about 2 weeks ago. There's no major scene where Sho shows them to Tetsuro, but he does have them.

Hmm.. good point. I'll have to rewatch some. Cuz now that you mention it, they didn't telepathically communicate nearly as much as the original series, but I dont remember if they communicated atleast once or twice.
