# About me

I grew up in Los Angeles and, apart from a three-year jaunt to the Bay Area, have mostly lived within thirteen miles of my childhood home. After earning a degree in English at UCLA and teaching myself to paint in my free time, I worked at various corporate jobs and ultimately channeled my creativity into large-scale special event planning for the entertainment industry at such companies as Fox Broadcasting Company and the WB Television Network.

After giving birth to two children, following my creative muse proved to be a daunting task, but illustrating and painting have always played an integral part in expressing myself. After much procrastination, I again picked up my brush and started painting the nursery and dining room walls, then party decorations, then murals in other people's nurseries, and finally to (you guessed it) canvases. I have been lucky enough to design for a number of high-end children's events, and hope you enjoy the small sampling shared here.

My fine art subjects range from urban landscape to figurative compositions, updated designs based on vintage patterns to faux finishing. I had a show of my paintings, “Recollection: Finding Inspiration in Everyday Miracles” in South Pasadena from 2007 to 2008.

For the last five years, I have directed my energies toward designing and painting for the event industry. Working primarily in acrylic, I work on a variety of surfaces including paper, stretched canvas, and wood panels, and also utilize a variety of non-traditional materials in my creations.

I live with my studly husband, two hilarious children and one very large cat in South Pasadena, Calif.
