I feel the same way. Also, I was subscribed for a few months, for the sole reason that it was before you could see the pictures of deviations. Now, you see the thumbnails even WITHOUT a subscription, and therefore I feel no need to pay for one.

I think that's a phase everyone goes through. I luckily had outgrown by the time I met you, mostly because I wanted to appear smart online to impress Her. (I started doing it even before I realized I was, like, in love with her. I just thought she was so freakin' cool. There was no way I could ever be that cool, but that meant I had to at least be reaching my potential.)
Sarah and I--she's as much of a grammar nerd as I am--look back at our myspace messages and cringe. It's horrible.

Yeah, me too. And I was like, oh god, how brave. In reality it was for the DU contest on our own AFIslash. But I was totally not expecting romance. I was reading gigabytes of gen fic about AFI and aching for some Javey, and I swear I almost got a nosebleed at how hot that fic was, even though there's like one kiss in the entire thing. And I'm pretty sure I cried.
