Hey fellow Deviants
I'm Kire, I am 21 years old and I live in a tiny remote spit-of-an-island in the middle of Nowhere! I started drawing before I could crawl and even now when I look back on the pictures I drew when I was little I think "God, I was good!" Not to seem egotistical or anything! HAHA!
Living on the Cocos Islands really expands upon my creative ability as it is sooo peaceful over here and I can draw and write till my heart's content. I'm also an avid reader and writer and I hope to publish some of my stories one day. A majority of my art pieces are based on my characters as they are a way for me to story plan without having to write about it...takes less effort, as I see no point writing a character description, when it is easier for me to draw what's going on in my head.
I don't really know what my style is, although I think you would call it somewhere between realistic and animated. I don't usually like bragging or showing my artworks because I don't like them being judged but I get a lot of compliments from friends and lots of nudges to get my pictures out there.
My favourite Artist is Salvadore Dali (although I could never hope to be nearly as good and trippy as him), my favourite books are ANYTHING writted by Kelley Armstrong, Marianne Curley and Cassandra Clare, and I love supernatural, horror and fantasy movies.
When it comes to my characters, I love each and every one of them, and they each hold a special place in my heart, because I usually base them off people I know and love.
My dog, Aminta, is my buddying Artist, and I thank her for her patience when she is forced to sit with me for hours on end while I'm drawing instead of going for a walk! She is such a neglected dog:P HEHE!
