checking out their pages... holy crap!

their stuff is quite awesome... in many ways. true mastery of the digital art. however, they go for realism and i don't really like realism that much Sweating a little...

i prefer the kind of art that's a bit anatomically and aesthetically incorrect: doesn't matter if that is for unability to master that more 'professional' look or just for avoiding it; drawings and paintings that play with the rules, that twist them a bit. creating stuff that you won't be able to see in real life. in my opinion that's the kind of stuff that comes from the feelings and emotions, from the heart, the inner. sincere expressionism, subject to our own way of seeing things and our own ways of thinking. our own errors, our own flesh.

i find realism rather cold. no matter how colourful or perfect it is.

that's why i prefer your kind of stuff: simple, expressive, straight to the point and with that subtle cartoon touch that i'm a sucker for :D (Big Grin)
