Very nice Gallery! I really like your Snake and Jiu jitsu art! I want to try and design a piece with an anaconda colorized with the jiu jitsu belt colors fighting a samurai symbolizing Esai Maeda who brough Jiu jitsu to Brazil.

most good artists will work off of reference as a starting point, but redraw it to fit the body part, budget, and add to the design. If it is a tattoo photo, by all means, please do not reproduce. If it is artwork, then using it as inspiration is fine...... :0) **which piece are you referring to??

That one was done as a tattoo already.
It would make a good starting point, but redrawing it and tweeking it to make it more unique to you would be the way to go. Any decent tattoo artist should have no problem with that request. :0)

all the b/w questions.....
i got into comics in the early 80's during the black and white explosion, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the first comic i remember buying. B/W

and now look at the success of "the walking dead". i love that story. mostly because the hardcover collections come out so quick. Not the greatest artwork, but the story is awesome.
