to give my advice i would recommend "fruits baskets" manga... and maybe the johnnen vasquez stuff... like johnny the homicidal maniac.. sort of an anti hero.. but these two are so differnt from each other that cross referencing them in your course work would by far be like... the best thing EVER!.. i love anime... but manga is my one true love...
