While I wish I would draw humans which have soul or are more lively, I see my drawing of humans more like statues

Some people have talent and love to draw humans, some preferer landscapes, other prefer creatures like me. I can say, everything that's not horse/antelope/sheep or rabbit-faced is great and easy to draw. I just always drew dinosaurs and that's all about training.
I can't tell more, because ven if I haven't drew an impressive amount of humans, I tried as much as I can and I see it really helped.
I always use reference photos and animas are easier since if I do some mistakes, they're not that easy to spot as on humans. Our perception is set on human, but we are worse with animals

Wow that is a really good advice, thank you so much for all the detailed description! 
I think you are right about the mistakes that are harder to notice with animals more than human figures 
since not too many people know the anatomy of animals that well. 
I think same can be true for human characters that are stylized, you can cheat the anatomy a bit
and it would still look pretty natural haha (I do this all the time 
Im going to study a bit on animal anatomy and see if i can come up with something haha

ooo, i haven't knew that! I always admire how other artists do their humans if they're more cartoony, but now I think this is easier way they go through~

I'm pretty sure you were one of my leader-y people in last terms big project thing. I'm pretty crap with names, but I remember all three of our leaders name starting with J, and one's name was really unpronouncable (like Jackt or Jecka or some such). I'm gonna go with a guess here and say that's not you, and you're not the one who ended every sentence with 'Please!'. You're the other one xD

And if you're not in that group, then I'm making a complete dork of myself and I probably don't know you except in passing

Heh no this was in 2007 but oddly enough I'm now doing the Applied Visual Imaging course at UCOL in Palmerston North and am looking at animation and illustration again.
